Through a law called “Robin Hood,” school districts that are designated as affluent are required to give a percentage of the revenue on their property tax to other districts who are outside of the county.  One of the highest dollar amounts given was $86 million, which was donated by PISD.  There were a few touchy situations which erupted in controversy, however.  This occurred when the salaries of teachers in the less affluent districts exceeded the salaries of those who had to pay into the “Robin Hood” law.

Posey Property Management, Inc.

In the summer of 1973 Tom and J.C. Posey opened their first real estate office in Plano, TX.  In January of 1974 they relocated to 2701 W. 15th Street where they still reside today.  In purchasing the strip center they established themselves as being a viable part of the community.  With J.C.’s lead, in the early 1980’s they became one of the first Real Estate firms to offer a FULL SERVICE Property Management system. Operating as a stand-alone unit, the property management division expanded rapidly. In the early 90’s they acquired two smaller property management companies and then in the late 90’s added the very large Plano Property Management division of First Preston Management. Doing so nearly doubling the size of their firm. This also added several valuable Property Managers to the Company. Today they continue to offer state-of-the-art service and expertise to every property owner and tenant. With technology, their web presence is unparallel in providing information to the consumer. Which in turn allows their owners to receive better exposure of their properties and this translates into less vacancy factors and better returns on their investment.
